Quality of Life

Determining Quality of Life

As pet owners, we are responsible for making decisions about our pets’ health and well-being–From daily care to difficult choices like medical treatments and end-of-life-care.

Every pet and family situation is unique, so the right decision varies for each case. Pets can’t express their feelings, and assessing their quality of life is subjective rather than scientific. Behavioral and daily routine indicators can help determine their comfort and whether veterinary care is needed. This guide aims to support you in making informed and compassionate choices.

  • Changes in eating frequency
  • Changes in food preferences
  • Changes in weight
