The Team at The Veterinary Center of Hudson

Dr. Shaker grew up in Warren, Ohio, and has always had a deep love for animals. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Mercyhurst University in 2008 and went on to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She completed her clinical rotations at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. With a strong passion for feline medicine and surgery, Dr. Shaker is a proud member of the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. She is also a certified feline-friendly veterinarian through the FelineVMA and has played a key role in helping VCH achieve Gold Certification as a feline-friendly practice. Dr. Shaker lives in Hudson, Ohio with her husband, Chris, and their two sons, Alexander and Lincoln. Their home is also shared with three beloved pets: Bodie, a black Labrador; Brinley, a tuxedo cat; and Biscotti, a Siamese cat. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Shaker enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking, making Target runs, and cheering on Cleveland sports teams.
